My High School Years: The Holidays Begin (11/23/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 9. Summary: Welcome to the holidays, the best time of the year! I started my holiday season with the Special Olympics awards ceremony, lots of birthdays on Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving itself. And a trip to the movies to watch Instant Family can't hurt. And guess what one of those birthdays was: William! He is now 19! Time flies! It was only 6 months ago when he graduated high school, and only a year ago that he was playing soccer! It's also only been 3 months since he started college at RIT. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E10 ! Updated 2/18/19.

#afreshmaninmiddleschool

THIS IS NOT RIGHT! What's not right? The fact that one of my homeroom students, whom IS IN 9TH GRADE, could not participate in a high school activity. Let me explain. So the school is having a half day. The middle school is making Christmas ornaments, yet the high school is doing all sorts of fun stuff, like (video) Games and Art. This student doesn't want to do Christmas ornaments, and asks "What is the high school doing?" But then the staff reply with "You're not in high school." Let me repeat. HE'S IN GRADE 9. That IS (Well is supposed to be) HIGH SCHOOL. I know you're probably thinking that THIS IS MESSED UP. IT IS. But I must continue. He then says "Pwhat?! I'M IN HIGH SCHOOL!" And then there's a long gap of other stuff they said. Until they say "It's not your grade or age that matters. It's the floor of the building you're on. THAT IS SO MESSED UP. IT'S SUPPOSED  TO BE YOUR GRADE AND AGE THAT MATTE

$1.5 BILLION MEGA MILLIONS AND $687 MILLION (WAS $750 MILLION) POWERBALL (BIG LOTTERY WINNERS; a week late)

I am a week late to say this, but the last couple weeks were amazing for the lottery. There were TWO high-rolling jackpots; there was the near record-breaking $1.5 BILLION Mega Millions, and the $687 MILLION (which was supposed to be $750 MILLION) Powerball! First, the Mega Millions. It hit $1.5 BILLION! This was a near record-breaking jackpot; it was the second biggest jackpot in US HISTORY. It started when it hit $858 MILLION. It kept climbing. Later, it reached $900 MILLION. Before you know it, it reached A BILLION DOLLARS. But, nobody won AGAIN! So it made it to $1.6 BILLION! It was the largest jackpot in US history! Almost. The next day, it was discovered that the $1.6 BILLION jackpot was only worth $1.537 BILLION, and was $49 MILLION short of the $1.586 BILLION Powerball that was set in 2016. So, the old record stood. But it was the largest Mega Millions by $900 MILLION! The former Mega Millions record was set back in 2012, and was only $656 MILLION! ONE PERSON won it in South

HAPPY BELATED HALLOWEEN!!! 🎃🎃🎃

Happy Belated Halloween! Yesterday was Oct 31, 2018, and it is Halloween! I went trick-or-treating tonight, and it was fun! We planned to do it in the neighborhood and on Holly Cir. (That is another neighborhood close to ours) We did it in the neighborhood, but when we were almost done, IT STARTED RAINING! UGH! So we had to end after doing the whole neighborhood. But for next year, it will be Halloween 2019, which will be THE LAST HALLOWEEN OF THE DECADE! So I want to make next year's Halloween a big one! I will go to both the local neighborhood and Holly Cir! And if rain is in the forecast, we will go earlier! Look at my costume! You can see I also got a face painting! Here is how my Halloween went: At school, they had alternate activities. First was extended homeroom. (instead of ending at 8:40, it ended at 9:00) I then went to gathering. After gathering was the first period. It was BINGO! I got a prize: a mini pool table toy! They did a lot of stuff for the next 3 hours.
