New year, new me! Now that 2021 (and sadly, Betty White, RIP 12/31/2021, age 99 😭🕊️) is past us, we can have a great 2022 together! 😎👍🎉🎆🌆 What 2022 will mean for me:
ACTUALITIES:
I will graduate high school and (most likely) begin college at either HCC (Holyoke Community College) or UMass Amherst. (University of Massachusetts Amherst)
2022 will be my first full year as an adult, so WHO KNOWS what could happen! 😆🎓👨🏫
PREDICTIONS:
The COVID-19 pandemic will end in the US or worldwide, omicron or one more after that could be last variant to still cause restrictions such as masks, distancing, and closure/going virtual if absolutely necessary; my prediction is
no more masks/distancing (back to "normal") by March to July 2022, ❌😷 -> ⛱️ '22
at least 25% of the US population will get COVID-19 in one way or another, we can't mask ourselves forever, although it already feels like we have after almost 2 years... 😭🦠💉💊🤒
(Currently about 12% have been infected)
VR, being a mildly big fad in 2017, will blow up in usage as the metaverse comes into existence and is widely accessible/available by either this spring or summer 2022; by the end of the year,
"VR Lounges/MetaLounges/Meta Lounges/VRLounges/FutureLounges/Future Lounges" could go into operation as VR reaches 5 years of existence. 🌆🌙
Self-driving cars could be widespread by the end of the year but to a certain extent. By the end of the year, Teslas (Full Self Driving/FSD, currently in Beta 10.8) could have FSD widely available, but it likely won't be "full self driving" as the driver will need to intervene if necessary, full self driving of the actual vehicles will probably occur between 2023 and 2026 and new laws/regulations will need to be established for self driving vehicles
Despite the likely realities, Elon Musk, behind Tesla, is stating that he does expect "full self driving" to be a thing by the end of 2022, although many news outlets don't agree as many of his past predictions have turned out to be incorrect. 🚗🤖
The first publicly available flying cars will very likely be available by spring to summer 2022 as a new technology in the works for 100+ years. (Companies have already committed to a 2022 launch of flying cars)

Apple could release its first VR/AR headset and first smartglasses this year, although the smartglasses, expected for 2022 in 2020, are now likely for release in 2023, although most predictions are expecting 2022 or 2023 for these items. 📱🕶️
Meta (formerly Facebook, Inc.) is expected to release its first official gear and begin the public metaverse this year, as new products will be announced in early 2022, possibly at CES, although virtually due to Meta pulling out over Omicron concerns. (+800% cases in DC in 2 weeks?! Holy shit...) Despite the INSANE wave smashing records worldwide AND across the US, especially in the high vax Northeast, CES is expected to still be in person in Las Vegas from January 5-7, 2022 as many exhibitors are still in despite the big ones (Google/Meta/among others) having gone virtual or dropping out altogether with only days away to this massive event that kicks off at the beginning of every year in early to mid January to show off the latest tech. 🌆🔮🏙️∞
MY 2022 NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS:
Learn ASL (American Sign Language) and Spanish; get back on Duolingo and sign on another app for ASL. 👨🏫🎓🗺️
Be more educational; less gaming. (Learn coding and life skills, along with signing up for colleges and doing the FAFSA with my foster mom online and finding scholarships online and in-person, if possible) 👨🏫🎓🗺️🌐 – 🎮
Be more hygienic; get on taking showers daily and twice daily brushing 🚿🪥
DOCUMENT MORE OF MY LIFE; more vlogging if possible, especially with more frequent posts here, in my journal, and on Instagram, preferably here. 🤳📸🎥📘
