HONORING 50 YEARS SINCE MANKIND FIRST STEPPED FOOT ON THE MOON...

Image
Today is July 20, 2019, and today marks 50 years since we, mankind, first stepped foot on the moon. Today is the day where I shall honor the first "Moon Day" which will take place every year on July 20. It was a more than impressive achievement, the most impressive moment of the 20th century and all of AD/CE! It was just so shocking that President Kennedy's 1961 mission to put a man on the moon before the end of the 1960s came true only 4 MONTHS shy from 1970! Below are some fun facts and info about the moon launch and such. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy declared that the U.S. would put a man on the moon before the end of the 1960s. This was during the Space Race, a competition between the U.S. and the Soviet Union to see who could reach the moon first and come up with better space technology. The Soviets won the early rounds; they launched the first artificial satellite in 1957, put the first man in space in 1961, followed by a woman in 1963, but the U.S. won when...

Going to the NOURISHED FESTIVAL in WORCESTER MA!

Image
You know how it feels to go to a food festival and there's nothing gluten free, right? Or you can have things there like "salads" and "burgers without the bun?" That just feels awful, so when you realize you have an opportunity to go to a festival where you can EAT ANYTHING YOU WANT and it's only an hour away, you just have to TAKE that opportunity. And there we present, the Nourished Festival! (Formerly GFAF Expo) It was my first time going to a food festival like that, so it was a real experience! I was really excited and we planned this about a week ahead! Now, let's talk about the Nourished Festival... I woke up at 7 AM when I was supposed to get up at 8 AM, so I waited an hour in bed, and before you know, it was 8 AM. So I got up and got ready to GO DO THIS THING! So I waited, and before you know, it was 9 AM and Julie was here to pick me up! So we drove to Worcester and went to the Nourished Festival! I got samples of A LOT of things, and there w...

My end of the week trip to LAKE GEORGE NY!

Image
Well, fellas, it was time that we took another summer trip. This time, to Lake George NY! This town, which is just north of Saratoga Springs, is a very popular tourist destination for the attractions and lodging that lie within this amazing town! Here's how my late-week at Lake George NY went. Day 1 Well, the reason why we came to Lake George NY is because Melanie (my foster sister) went to the Explore Your Future camp at RIT in Rochester NY and we had to pick her up. But, Mom was so nice that she decided to take us to Lake George NY on the way back from Rochester NY. Coming from the Springfield MA area, to get to Rochester NY, first you have to take I-91 north (for me, we just take the backroads until we encounter US-202, and there lies the Exit 3 ramp to get on I-90 west to go to Albany/Buffalo. From there, take I-90 west for about 70 miles. (that's a lot!) Before you encounter the next direction, while you are on I-90, at Mile Marker 20.2 in Becket MA, you will see ...

AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 4TH OF JULY...

Image
Happy belated 4th of July! I have a great blog post for you guys today. For the 4th of July, we went to the beach in Westerly, RI! That was SO much fun, and I took so many pics, that you need to see them all. Let's do this! On the way to Westerly, RI, or Mystic Aquarium, on CT-85, you will encounter this dinosaur place that is SO awesome that you NEED to go! It's a great place to take pics of your kids standing in front of the dinosaur, or if you want to take a selfie in front of the dinosaur. I was last here in 2012, when we went to Mystic Aquarium, and my mom has some old photos of me standing next to the dinosaur in 2012. We passed by it in 2018 when we made a return trip to Mystic Aquarium, but we did not stop there. This is what the dinosaur looks like. Roarrr!!! 🐊🐊🐊 When you leave The Dinosaur Place, (that's the actual name of the place) you take CT-85 south until you see I-95, take I-95 north to exit 91, then take exit 91 to CT-234 east, and cont...
