Today is July 20, 2019, and today marks 50 years since we, mankind, first stepped foot on the moon. Today is the day where I shall honor the first "Moon Day" which will take place every year on July 20. It was a more than impressive achievement, the most impressive moment of the 20th century and all of AD/CE! It was just so shocking that President Kennedy's 1961 mission to put a man on the moon before the end of the 1960s came true only 4 MONTHS shy from 1970! Below are some fun facts and info about the moon launch and such. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy declared that the U.S. would put a man on the moon before the end of the 1960s. This was during the Space Race, a competition between the U.S. and the Soviet Union to see who could reach the moon first and come up with better space technology.
