Social distancing existed in 1918. Why not in 2020? (A message to all the "Karens")

In late 1918/early 1919, life was very similar to how it was between March 2020 and June 2020, and the rest of 2020 as well. Social distancing, masks, shuttering of businesses, it was basically, I'll just call it, the "late 1910s recession". And what we are in now is basically the "early 2020s recession". But, for everyone who says that we won't go back to normal, I think we will. After all, masks/social distancing didn't last! Between ~1920 and 2020, life was normal. A CENTURY OF NORMALITY, and we WILL get another one, just wait a year or two. Expect a return to normality around Summer 2021/Fall 2021. By the way, masks and social distancing existed at many places during those, and these, times, pretty much exactly as they do now. So, for 2020, why not? For all the Karens out there... Here's the facts: IF WE DON'T DO SOCIAL DISTANCING, DON'T WEAR MASKS, AND DON'T QUARANTINE... COVID-19 WOULD GROW TO A MUCH BIGGER POPULATION MUCH FASTER HO

Darker days and lighter days ahead

Honestly, I don't know. This weekend has been crazy, with a trip to McCray's Farm in South Hadley, MA on Saturday to go on the hayride (the daytime one, not the haunted one, although I want to go to the haunted hayride at McCray's (the hayride, but after 7pm and with scary features with it being dark out) and another nearby attraction called DementedFX in Holyoke, MA, voted as the #1 haunted house in America, but I don't think this is going to happen due to COVID-19 and a lack of time before Halloween (only 5 days away), although they are open until November 1st, but that doesn't make sense; why go to a haunted attraction AFTER Halloween is over; it makes no sense. But what DOESN'T make sense: that Halloween has barely arrived and CHRISTMAS is already in store! (Literally, in stores) Sunday and Monday marked being with my mom and dad and being in school today, in person, on Monday. Unfortunately, there are darker days ahead, my dad has cancer and is going to pas

Going To Mike's Maze and 110 Grill Hadley (October 9, 2020)

Image
Yesterday was very fun! I went to Mike's Maze in Sunderland, MA and then ate at 110 Grill Hadley for dinner. Here's what happened: At 3:30pm, Julie and I left to Mike's Maze in Sunderland, MA, about 30 minutes from my house. We got there on time for her reservation at 4pm, and we got to the maze, which apparently has a different theme annually, and because of the election, the 2020 theme for the maze was "Vote!" and even the maze shape had the letters "VOTE" in it, although with a different font so it couldn't be easy to get out of the maze. We got about 1/3 of the maze done before we left. (not because we were unsatisfied, but because I was done and wanted to get to 110 Grill before it got too crowded, this was 4:45pm on a Friday night during the current pandemic, and plus, the maze closed at 5pm) Also, I couldn't find the right way through the maze, it was every which way, and I had to constantly turn the map, and I was going the opposite way I

Making glitter jars at drop in

Image
Today at drop in, I made glitter jars! It was very fun, and I enjoyed the experience. Despite masks being required and no food and drinks at drop in (we used to have them), drop in has been going well for me. Here was today's visit: And the video:

Regal Cinemas closing indefinitely at the end of today due to COVID-19

Image
The logo of the movie chain Regal Cinemas, with 536 locations across the U.S., all of which are closing at closing time indefinitely on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Despite Regal closing indefinitely and the lack of movies releasing in 2020 due to COVID-19 (which is why Regal is closing), other movie chains, such as AMC and Cinemark are choosing to keep reopening their theaters; AMC began their reopening process on July 20, 2020 with 15 CENT movie prices (only on July 20!) to commemorate their 100th anniversary of being in operation since 1920. (Movie tickets were $0.15 in 1920, therefore the INCREDIBLE price) Cinemark has also since begun their reopening, with their theaters in my local area reopening tomorrow, Friday, October 9, 2020. Also, AMC theaters begun a tradition called AMC Safe & Clean™️ to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in their theaters, running at 40% capacity or less, requirements of masks, constant cleaning (every 30 minutes and in between shows), physical distancin

My High School Years - Merry Christmas From TR27 (12/27/19)

This is SEASON 2 EPISODE 9, the last episode fully featuring the 2010s! Summary: Merry Christmas from TR27! This holiday week, I showed off my winter fashion, saw some winter scenery, had a very long and amazing day filled with getting a snack with George, putting the first Christmas presents underneath the tree, which mine, SAID THE NAMES OF THE GIFTS ON THE PACKAGES, very spoilish and NOT GOOD! 🤬 Afterwards, we went to the mall to get last-minute Christmas gifts, got some 99 cent ICE CREAM from Round1 (we didn't bowl or go to the arcade, just got ice cream, yes, ICE CREAM AT CHRISTMAS TIME, VERY UNUSUAL) and afterwards, went to McDonald's at like 10PM (no footage, sadly), and got home around 11PM, a late night out at Christmas time! After THAT magnificent day, on Christmas Eve, Julie gave me a BOATLOAD of gluten free foods to eat for the holidays, since I was missing out on many holiday treats due to being gluten free. On Christmas Eve night, we decorated gingerbread house
