Social distancing existed in 1918. Why not in 2020? (A message to all the "Karens")

In late 1918/early 1919, life was very similar to how it was between March 2020 and June 2020, and the rest of 2020 as well. Social distancing, masks, shuttering of businesses, it was basically, I'll just call it, the "late 1910s recession". And what we are in now is basically the "early 2020s recession". But, for everyone who says that we won't go back to normal, I think we will. After all, masks/social distancing didn't last! Between ~1920 and 2020, life was normal. A CENTURY OF NORMALITY, and we WILL get another one, just wait a year or two. Expect a return to normality around Summer 2021/Fall 2021. By the way, masks and social distancing existed at many places during those, and these, times, pretty much exactly as they do now. So, for 2020, why not? For all the Karens out there...

IF WE DON'T DO SOCIAL DISTANCING, DON'T WEAR MASKS, AND DON'T QUARANTINE...

COVID-19 WOULD GROW TO A MUCH BIGGER POPULATION MUCH FASTER

HOSPITALS WOULD FILL TO AND PAST CAPACITY WITH COVID-19 INFECTED PATIENTS

MANY MORE PEOPLE WOULD DIE

EVERYONE WOULD GET SICK

THE WORLD WOULD BE A MESS

DO YOU WANT THAT? I DON'T!

WHAT'S BETTER: 1-2 YEARS OF ALTERED LIFE THAT'S SAFE, OR 1-2 YEARS OF NORMAL LIFE THAT'S VERY DANGEROUS WITH A HIGH RISK AND DEATH RATE OF COVID-19?

AND SORRY, THERE'S NO "BACK TO NORMAL WITH NO COVID" OPTION! (Unless you wait 1-2 years, then there will be!)

I THINK THE FIRST ONE IS BETTER, CAUSE I DON'T WANT TO DIE FROM DOING "NORMAL THINGS!" I'D PREFER TO WAIT IT OUT AND BE SAFE!

SO, KARENS, PLEASE RETHINK YOUR STRATEGIES AND GO TALK TO THE MANAGER...
