It's Been A While... Happy New Year BTW

Personal note: Blogging is SO (before) 2022. Stay up to date with my content in 2023 onwards on my Instagram @tr27.official  (follow if you want to, it's up to you.) 325 followers as of 3:08PM EST, 12/31/2022. Eras aren't forever, and everything and every era must eventually come to an end, and that likely includes my time here on this site as my blogging era has come to a quiet end. However, NOTHING WILL BE DELETED. EVER. All content made on this site will remain from the past 4 years, and will remain as long as Blogger's servers remain online. If Blogger does ever shut down, ALL CONTENT HERE WILL BE ARCHIVED MULTIPLE TIMES. EVERY LINK. EVERY POST. EVERYTHING. I am strongly anti-deletion, and I shall stay that way, 2022 or 2023 or whatever year it is that you are reading this. Once posted on the internet, EVERYTHING LASTS FOREVER. AND I SUPPORT THAT. Anyways, here's my post: It's been a while since I last posted. As you can probably tell, I last posted on April 8, ...

Sonic 2: The Most Crowded Movie In Recent Times (+ My Life)

Image
Tonight was a crazy night. At 3:30pm, I decided to go see Sonic 2 with Julie (I've been waiting FOREVER for this to come out!) and by 3:50pm, we got to the theater. (3:40pm showtime @ Cinemark in West Springfield MA) We got tickets, (which were the HARDEST to find in my life BY FAR, we had to fit in the FRONT for the first time, and for the first time in my life, it said on the screen "limited seating"!  This many seats being taken is something I'll probably never see again. Lesson learned: movie theaters are NOT dead in 2022! After concessions (a small soda + popcorn), I got in without Julie (as she was in the bathroom) to find that the movie had already started. 🤭 Oops...  (Trying to take a picture of concessions didn't work, it only sonic circled me back to June 2020 as a black image 💀) After a few minutes, Julie came in, and we watched the movie together. We got out around 5:50pm and even for the upcoming 6:45pm showtime, it STILL said limited seating. 😱 Th...

Introducing Memories+

Hi, I'm back. You probably haven't seen me in awhile! Today, I am introducing a new feature to this blog called Memories+, which will allow for publication of past memories under THAT time to this blog, anywhere between April 5, 2018 and now (I could go before April 5, 2018, but that was the day this blog was started, so there is no reason to) with the ACTUAL publication date at the bottom. Example: Example post 9/17/2019 5:00:00 PM Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet PT: 3/31/2022 3:41 PM This will avoid confusion on putting years-old memories on the blog, but that is the only way to keep memories up, besides the cloud, which will continue to have uploads. Hope you enjoy this new addition to the blog! Many things you HAVEN'T seen are coming soon to this blog, most of it from the past! My High School Years, RETURNING APRIL 2022! That's it. Bye!

No more masks?! 😁😱

These PREDICTIONS for the CDC have been made at 3:22 PM on 2/25/22, 23 minutes before the official information is released. People who are fully vaccinated and boosted will be able to go to many settings without masks and social distancing. (Maybe fully vaccinated without a booster, but probably with one, as they have shown to reduce risk of hospitalization with omicron by 90%)

The meteorologists were right: 6 INCHES on the ground, just 2 DAYS after it was warm enough to go outside in a t-shirt

Wait, WHAT?! Almost 70°F in FEBRUARY?! (February 23, 2022)

Day 2 of our trip to New York City (❄️ 2022)

The day you've been waiting for is here: my experience on Day 2 of our winter 2022 trip to New York City. After a rather quiet day yesterday, things spiced up in (almost) all the right ways today. It was a very busy day, and this is what happened. After being home until about 1pm, around 1pm, it was finally time to leave home and check out the city, which I was looking forward to, because I LOVE outings. We left Yonkers around 1pm-ish, and we then drove to the city. We arrived around 2pm and we parked at Dock on 39th Street, for our journey to begin. After parking, we began to walk around the city, looking for the New York Public Library, to pick someone (NOT a book) up there and take pictures in front of the library. Before I keep going though, there was another reason why today was great: the weather. Usually in the winter, the weather is a bit of a pain, but today worked out, and that's actually why we chose to go to New York today. 4 words: 53. DEGREES. IN. FEBRUARY. And it...

Day 1 of our trip in New York City (❄️ 2022)

Image
400 POSTS ALREADY. WOW. And here I am on ANOTHER vacation! This one is to New York, and it is going to be fun. We are going to go to Hudson Yards and see a sculpture there, and also, there will be a trip to Times Square! This is due to be a great vacation. This is day 1 of our vacation to NYC. The trip started at 11:30am when we left towards NYC and we made a stop at Walmart around 12pm-12:30pm (which I didn't go in) for snacks for the trip? Around 12:30pm, we left on the 2 1/2 hour drive to NYC. By around 4pm, we arrived in New York, and most of the drive was spent watching YouTube via Mary's hotspot and playing Minetest on my phone. First, we got to Manhattan, our first destination, where we were staying between 4pm and 10:30pm. I already was thinking we weren't going to stay overnight here, due to the fact that on a previous NYC trip in June 2021, we didn't stay overnight there. I was right. By 10:30pm, it was time to go to our usual destination in Yonkers, and we ar...

What a great Valentine's Day!

Image
Today was Valentine's Day, and you know what THAT means. It's the only day beside Halloween (and Easter for young ones, not me) that school gives out free candy! Kids and teens LOVE free candy! Obviously, when you're gluten free (and the school is nut free), it can sometimes be a pain in the ASS to find candy that is OK to give out at school, both for me and the students who have life-threatening nut allergies (for me, eating gluten wouldn't be life-threatening, I would just get a bad stomachache, think food poisoning/stomach bug symptoms; I still wouldn't want to deal with that), but they still found candy for me and we were even able to eat some free candy in class, which was awesome! Anyways, here's the bags and other goodies that I got: (School) (My community) (Foster mom, Mary) Thanks for reading, and Happy Valentine's Day! Updated 2/23/22.

A VERY interesting visit at the mall

What a crazy day it was today. I went with my bio-mom to the Holyoke Mall as a surprise that was ruined when we picked her up at work when a co-worker unwillingly told us "have a good time at the mall" without realizing it (was) a surprise. We went to the mall at 12:30pm and first stopped at JCPenney, which took close to, if not more than, an hour, a very long stop, considering the mall is only open from 11am-5pm on Sundays. Afterwards, we went to Best Buy to get Barrie a new computer (and so I could browse around) for when I want to get a new computer for college and gaming, which hopefully will happen before fall 2022. But let me tell you, Best Buy is HELLA expensive and kind of a ripoff, as their prices are WAY ABOVE Amazon's prices. For example, the worker at Best Buy told me if I wanted a good computer to school and play Minecraft with shaders and mods on (LOTS of mods), he recommended a i5 with 16GB of RAM and a 3060 graphics card at $1,350 as a limited time offer a...

The RECORD warmth continues: 55 DEGREES AGAIN. 😱☀️🏖️😎

Image
If you thought YESTERDAY was warm, then having TWO DAYS OF THE SAME WEATHER just sounds CRAZY, but it actually happened today. For the 2020s, with climate change, it's not surprising, but it also is. Today was even crazier than yesterday was, and you're about to find out why. First, today, Barrie and I were supposed to go to Rhode Island to an all-autistic bakery called Red White & Brew just over the border, but due to it being out of state (therefore needing DCF permission to go) and Barrie feeling tired, the trip was called off, and we didn't go ANYWHERE far. We stayed local when we expected not to. Second, the RECORD warmth. One day of 55° weather in February is insane, but TWO? THREE?! 3 STRAIGHT DAYS IN THE 50S, 2 STRAIGHT DAYS AT 55°! 😱☀️😎 It was so warm today that it was warm enough to walk outside, and so, Barrie and I walked through downtown Easthampton MA (when we were supposed to walk behind her house near/in the woods) as the thermometer at Big E's Sup...

Adulting @ Starbucks, 55 DEGREES IN FEBRUARY?!

Image
Today was a very interesting day. I went with Julie to Starbucks in West Springfield MA (the new one off US-5, formerly D'Angelo's) so the two of us could talk about adulting, because I am now 18 and getting ready to live independently. Before we went, Julie attempted to show me this abandoned building in Holyoke MA, but by our time of arrival, IT WAS DEMOLISHED, to Julie's surprise! Well, THAT was disappointing. Upon arrival, this was it. A former abandoned 4-story medical facility, GONE. Being built in its place: a new mental facility. (I would show you what it looked like, but due to copyright reasons on Google Maps, I am unable to show a screenshot of the former site on Street View.) 📍35 Holy Family Rd/45 Lower Westfield Rd, Holyoke MA (rubble shown here was 45 Lower Westfield Rd) After that disappointment, it was time to decide where to go, which I ALWAYS have a hard time doing. Because Julie said we needed to talk about adulting (she is my mentor after all, not my TA...
