Wow, can't believe it's Friday already! The week just FLEW BY! Today was a great day! Here's how it went: Everything up until 11:50 was normal and not noteworthy. (Periods 1-4) But, in 5th and final period, (11:50-12:30) noteworthy things began to happen! If you're wondering, 5th period is history class. The assignment they made us do was to watch a war letters documentary and write a fictional letter about being in war. But before we get there, here is an overview of history class: The first thing we do is say hi to the history teacher, Bob. Then we watch this daily thing called CNN10, which cramps the most recent news and a little trivia into a segment that's EXACTLY 10 minutes long, no more, no less! Then after, we do the daily assignment! So, the assignment we did Thursday and Friday (today) was to watch a war letters documentary and write a fictional letter about being in war. I did EXCEPTIONALLY WELL, as ALWAYS! What IRKS me is that, some kids didn't WANT to do the assignment! Well, that will CREEP UP ON THEM when they try to apply for a college! Well, the only thing I can say is, GOOD LUCK! 🤣🤣🤣 I got a sneak peek at the grades, and here they are!
(Putting numbers instead of names for privacy reasons)
Student 1: 0% (Not here)
Student 2: 0% (Skipped class)
Student 3: 80% (My pet rock not very good) Pet rock? What is this, the 70S?! 🤣🤣🤣
Student 4: (me) 100% (The OVER ACHIEVER)
Now, here are some of the "war letters" that kids in my class wrote.
"My pet rock isn't doing well. Be home soon."
Pretty lame. (No offense) Not a good setting for a war letter here, unless it was the Vietnam War, because that took place in the PET ROCK ERA OF THE 70S! 🤣🤣🤣
And NOW, MY WAR LETTER:
"Dear parents, I am fighting for my life and country in Afghanistan right now. Things are looking very bleak right now, but I promise you, I will be OK and home soon. Sincerely, Richard"
Bob loved it! He even gave me a 100 for this one! I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!
And THEN I got a Positive Friday NOMINATION for politely welcoming someone into the classroom! My gosh, has today been GOOD OR NOT?! And then I got my BUTT KICKED at DODGEBALL! I mean, I kept losing every game after not even a minute! LOL! After school, I got a great announcement: That my long awaited new camera would come September 16th! New camera, back to the journal, HOW DID ALL THIS START?
Let's go back to August 26, 2019: I had my phone, and let's just say, I OVERDID MYSELF, and couldn't mentally handle it anymore, so on the evening of August 26, 2019, I said goodbye to my phone for who knows how long? (Haven't gotten it back as of September 8, 2019) Because of this, I restarted this journal on August 30, 2019, after an over 4 month long hiatus. So, because of my now lack of ability to take pics and vids, Mom decided to get me a camera! (Mom told me it had to be under $100, and couldn't be attached to a smartphone or anything like that) So, after searching for a high-quality, low-price digital camera, I found one! It's on Amazon, (OBVIOUSLY), costs only $80, can take 48MP photos (about 4× the resolution of a smartphone camera), can take 2.7K video (more quality than 1080p, but less than 4K), has a flashlight, is WATERPROOF (main purpose of the camera), has a date stamp for PICS AND VIDS (I REALLY LIKE THAT, helps me keep track of my life), has video AUDIO (awesome!), is blue (my favorite color!), and SO MUCH MORE! However, it is a Chinese product, but I've seen pics and vids of it, and it takes good pics and vids, and so I can roll with it. So today, (September 6, 2019), Mom told me I would get this camera on September 16, 2019. Finally, a DATE! (still none for 110 in Hadley though, UGH!)
Now, that's THAT!
