Fall Foliage With TR27: A Summer Streak (10.04.25)

A Summer Streak

Update 34 of the 2025 season of Fall Foliage With TR27

10.04.25

Today's weather was basically back to July but with a humidity level similar to where we should be at this time of year, with highs in the low 80s, honestly insane for this time of year!

Here's the summary and fall foliage pics below

For today, day 34:

High: 83°F
Average: 66°F
(+17)

Today was another day quite close to the pink tier, but once again, we didn't quite get there. Tomorrow will be borderline with a current high of 84 expected, which is 19 degrees above average, the highest reading to be in the red tier. Going just 2 degrees higher would land tomorrow in the pink tier, it's totally possible!

The expected forecast from 10/5-10/18:
10/5: ☀️ 84/52
10/6: ⛅ 83/53
10/7: ⛅ 81/60
10/8: 🌧️ 63/37 (85%)
10/9: ☀️ 60/32
10/10: 🌤️ 65/40
10/11: 🌤️ 70/43
10/12: ⛅ 64/43
10/13: ⛅ 66/47
10/14: 🌧️ 67/47 (54%)
10/15: 🌥️ 67/46
10/16: ⛅ 68/45
10/17: ⛅ 67/43
10/18: ⛅ 64/40

Honestly, another perfect forecast! One last blast for the summer lovers this weekend through Tuesday (10/7), and then a comfortable forecast after that with 2 shots at some needed rain and temps that are honestly not that cold for this time of year!

Here's the main pic and fall foliage pics taken today, 10/4/25:

This foliage is turning out nice! 🍁

This foliage on the west side of I-90 approaching Exit 63 (MA-32 to US-20, formerly Exit 8) is honestly gorgeous! 🤩🍁😎

In August 2016 and December 2023, I went to the Kalahari resort in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. Why do I mention that here? The reason why I mention that is that because in 2023, that resort chain made plans for a location right off I-90 Exit 63 in Palmer, MA right here that was due to open in 2027, but it's fall 2025 and nothing has happened, so time is running out!

Likely abandoned for 20+ years, basically as long as I've been alive for! Right on US-20 in Brimfield, MA!

That's gorgeous! 🤩🍁

We're here! Obviously, I won't say where this is, but this is a BEAUTIFUL location!

Honestly, it was a gorgeous fall day that felt more like summer and the reason why I went to this "location" is so I could celebrate my friend's 25th birthday, though it was technically on 10/3, the party was on 10/4. Hey, that's police code for "I got it", and not many dates get such a distinction like that! Too bad I realized that at 12:14 AM on 10/5 while editing this, oops... Better late than never! 😂😭

Anyways, I'll see you on 10/5 for another update, and BOY, it's gonna be toasty! Balsam Hill is making you want to sit by the fire with their Xmas advertising right now but tomorrow is going to FEEL like that fire just by stepping outside, and 10/6 & 10/7 will be the same, though it will be the warmest on 10/5 and the most humid on 10/7, especially later in the day on 10/7 as the rain of 10/8 makes its way to us! Yeah, it's a bit early for early Xmas/Black Friday advertising, because the atmosphere is still acting like it's the beginning of last month, SEPTEMBER, and that's NOT good!

Updated 12:18 AM on 10/5/25 to add everything that couldn't fit in by 11:59 PM yesterday, colorized highs/lows based on how far above/below average they were/are, photo descriptions and all the other text down here.
