My High School Years

Guys, I have come across a point where I have decided to focus more on college, and because college is a long thing, I figured I would take the next 4 years off of blogging so I could focus on my education instead. College is a long road, and don't worry, I'll be back here in 2028 as a grown 24-year-old man talking about the beginning of my 20s. See you in 2028... LEAP DAY FOOLS! I mean I won't be able to post on THIS day (2/29) again until 2028! I'll be posting LOTS between now and 2028! Fooled you, didn't I? 🤣🤣🤣 Happy Leap Day! Hi, everybody! I'm back once again with an update on my vlog, My High School Years (TR27's Version), which has been on hiatus since January 21, 2024, when episode 69 went out on Telegram, the last one to come out. I have installed a video editing software called ShotCut on my Windows PC and although it runs somewhat slow, it runs pretty good, and I have already started production of episode 70 on there, the next episode. I am still learning to use this software, but I think I'm getting the hang of it! Although slightly different than YouCut (actually QUITE different), I think this will result in a better product, however, it is WAY more complex, complicated, and feature filled than YouCut could ever dream of! There are some issues (text can only be so long, there's a character limit), but they are manageable! If all goes well, you could be seeing new episodes by next month, March 2024! See you soon! 😁✌️😎

Winter Storm Lorraine is going a little further south than the meteorologists were expecting. And as they say, a little goes a long way! A VERY long way! The snowfall map (for where I am) went from 8-12" Sunday night, to 4-8" this morning, to now, 2-4"? We went from a MAJOR snowstorm to just another snowy day in a matter of 24 hours! However, we won't know how much we get until the storm gets here! Everything is already cancelled tomorrow (including HCC, Holyoke Community College, which has been open on SEVERAL days that my local district closed) despite this drastic forecast change (I imagine that they're closing not because of the size of the storm, but its timing, which looks to be 4am-12pm, SMACK DAB in the work day hours for most!), and I appreciate not having to get up early in the morning tomorrow! Anyways, SNOW DAY!!! 🥳🥳🥳😁😎👍

I'm writing this about 12:30am on Feb 11, 2024, and it's STILL WAY above what it should be - my local weather station is reading 39.2°F (4°C) as of 12:22am along with some other readings. Here's what the readings are as of 12:25am on 2/11/24. Local weather station: 39.2°F (4.0°C) as of 12:22am 2/11 *UNOFFICIAL Barnes AFB (Westfield MA): 38°F (3.3°C) as of 11:53pm 2/10 Westover AFB (Chicopee MA, official records for local TV stations): 40°F (4.4°C) as of 11:55pm 2/10 Keep in mind, it's February. But I'm not done yet. I have produced 69 (nice. 😈) episodes of (TR27's Version) and I was on a roll in the first few weeks of 2024, producing new episodes on the daily! But just when everything got good and seemed unstoppable... Android 14 happened. After this update (which was NOT optional, it updates by itself  🙄) occurred on my phone (which was on Android 13 before), my abysimal 4GB RAM Samsung phone could no longer keep up

OK, I'll admit it. This year, I'm absolutely OBSESSED with the fact that there is a February 29th this year, as February typically only has 28 days, and the 29th only happens once every 4 years or so! Once Feb. 29 happens this year, I want to film that day as much as I can as I won't be able to film on 2/29 again until 2028, as 2025-2027 simply won't HAVE a Feb. 29, it would be March 1! By the way, here's the only video I have ever made on 2/29, from 2/29/2020, just before things got bad with COVID. (Not surprisingly, it's me bragging about getting to experience this special day!)

Crazy to think about, but COVID is already in the HISTORY books, LITERALLY! Even though it was ONLY 4 years ago! February 2, 2024. A day that will go down in history. Not only for being one of the rare occasions that Punxsutawney Phil gave us the prediction of 6 more weeks of spring rather than the typical 6 weeks of winter, but for the MAJOR release of the Apple Vision Pro, Apple's headset that we have been waiting for since at least 2021 or so. This day changed the world FOREVER, and people don't realize it yet. Apple has gotten to their marketing for it (Hello Vision Pro, photo down below) and people are willing to fork up the $3,499 for this brand new piece of technology, despite the fact that you could literally get a Meta Quest 3 for 1/7 of the price, for only $500! But having the ability to see your apps AND the real world at the same time is something people want that they can't resist! 2/2/24 is the day we began to enter the Ready Player One world, and we will likely be fully in it by the turn of the 2030s! It's a wild ride, so buckle up, as it is only just beginning! App

Ahh, UMG. (Universal Music Group) They love enforcing their copyright, and this time, it's gone so far that MAJOR artists like Taylor Swift, Drake, and others from them have had their sounds MUTED on TikTok and are no longer available! Companies are now fighting a huge war with AI (especially over the use of copyrighted material in its training) and it's, complicated. This is MAJOR for TikTok, and it could mean two things: either small/indie artists get a chance to grow on TikTok, or the app begins to die from a lack of music! We'll find out, but after a nearly 4 year run of being popular (pushing 5 years, especially since TikTok was already growing in 2019, pre-pandemic), maybe it is time for the app to, you know, pass the torch to another? It's safe to say that the age of "TikTok songs" is now over. I feel bittersweet for that. 2020-2024

I haven't been here since New Year's Eve! Now, we're past JANUARY and we are now in February of 2024! And one thing that happened: Punxsutawney Phil (the groundhog) did NOT see his shadow, meaning we get 6 more weeks of Spring, thus the Happy Spring! title (despite being early February, and therefore, the middle of winter) The weather is looking rather above average (for about the next week or so, until 2/12/24) with temps in the 40s°F and even up to 53°F on 2/10/24, which is about 20°F above what it should be for this time of year! (It should be around freezing, or 32°F) Beginning 2/13/24, we get a more seasonable pattern with temps in the 30s°F at least through 2/18/24, which is as far as the forecast currently goes. So, happy early Spring! 🌱🌷☀️ Last year, I saw buds on the trees as early as 2/10/23. Can we beat that this year? (To clarify: we should NOT be seeing buds this early, at least not until mid-March or so. That is NOT a good thing!)
