END OF 10TH GRADE (June 17, 2020)
10th Grade, OUT! Wednesday, June 17 marked my last day of school for the 2019-20 school year and the last day of 10th grade for me! After school (only a 12:15-1pm Zoom meeting), Mom, Melanie, and I went to Marshall's (they recently reopened from COVID-19, but dressing rooms are closed until June 22) and Mom was ECSTATIC that they were open because apparently it's Mom's favorite store (not mine...) But visiting Marshall's in June 2020 was a lot different because they sanitized your cart at the beginning, the front of the store was turned into a health center, and dressing rooms are closed. (until June 22) After Marshall's, we went to Whole Foods, but I didn't go in; I was using my device until Mom came out of the store. (around 8pm) I helped her with the groceries, and then we went to Wendy's for a fast food dinner. But because I'm gluten free and can't eat the bread at Wendy's, of course they had to screw up my order by giving me my burger with the bread on it. (come on, I can't eat that!) But they fixed my order and gave me the correct order on the 2nd try. Don't worry, this has happened A LOT to me at fast food places, hopefully the 2020s is when they introduce gluten free fast food, they've got to... The good news is that on Friday I went to a much more reputable gluten free dedicated restaurant that I know and love, the 110 Grill. (On June 19, 2020's entry) But Wendy's was very good and we were going to go to Stop & Shop but it was much later than Mom thought (she thought it was 6pm and not 8:30pm like it was) so we didn't go. (They probably would've closed by the time we would've got there, because with COVID-19, everything now closes 1-3 hours earlier than before to allow time for extra cleaning) (ex. my local mall used to close at 9:30pm, now they close at 7pm because of COVID-19) So we went home and watched SCOOB!, the new Scooby-Doo movie until 11pm when I went to sleep and that was the day.
My last day of 10th grade attire.
My new Sketchers memory foam shoes I used during the day.
The delicious food I had during the morning and/or afternoon.
On the way to Marshall's.
Whoa, I wasn't expecting that! No dressing rooms? That's unfortunate for people who usually use them, but the good news is I don't, so I'm fine. But they are opening on June 22 again with Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker's decision to start part 2 of phase 2 in my state on Monday, June 22, which allows for indoor dining at restaurants (until the 22nd, only patio seating, takeout, or delivery options are permitted) , dressing rooms in stores to open, tattoo parlors, nail salors, and more barbers to open.
With the reopening, plexiglass and barricades between and at registers are now required and some registers are now closed.
Wendy's for dinner!
