Going out with Julie to the 110 Grill in Athol, MA (And Juneteenth)
Yesterday was an amazing day! It started with me just getting up and waiting until 11am so I could use my tablet, then waiting until 2:30pm (actually 2:45pm) for Julie to come, and she came! We quickly decided to go to 110 Grill, but I lost ALL of my SD cards at the time we decided, so I only had one to use, so I couldn't play 75% of the games on my tablet and past Pelham, MA, trying to get the radio was a no go. But we did get to 110 Grill after an hour of driving and endless scenery. When we got there, we got our menus, but they were both the regular menus when there should be 1 regular and 1 gluten free menu. But since everything, yes, EVERYTHING, on the normal menu is or can be made gluten free, it didn't matter anyways, and I already knew what I was getting. Then, I ordered everything in 1 time, when we usually order drinks and then the food, we ordered it all at once. I got a kid size Sprite, GF pasta primavera with sweet potato fries and a gluten free bread and butter. (which turned to 2 rolls by the way) My roll came, but the butter had ice in it. (r/mildlyinfuriating ππππππ) Good news, I don't eat the butter, so once again, I didn't have a problem with it. I tried the butter with a sweet potato fry, but NO, never again! That tasted SO weird! πππ At least I tried something new! Everything came and I had to take some of my pasta primavera home that I had for lunch today, Saturday, June 20. The good news is, despite the initial mishaps, everything came gluten-free, and I didn't get sick! (I rarely do) So, we went back home and my visit with Julie ended at 7pm, which is somewhat late! And I DID find my SD cards after the trip, so it was a GREAT day!
But, when we were coming back around 6:30pm and we were almost home, Julie accidentally got back on the highway! πππ So we had to take the next exit (luckily only 1 mile away) and go back! I mean, really? πππ
Here are some pics and vids:
It was a great visit, and I can't wait to go again!
June 19th also marked 155 years since Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery on June 19, 1865, now known as Juneteenth. I salute everyone for this holiday.
