June 12, 2020 (Back to 110 Grill)

Hi, everybody! Friday was the FIRST time in 3 MONTHS that I went to 110 Grill, thanks to this darn quarantine! Ugh! 🀬 But it was a very fun visit, and I'll tell you about it!

So, June 12th started with me going to school on my Zoom calls, as every student in 2020 must do. However, I do get breaks sometimes, which is helpful. So, when I was in my Zoom "calls" on June 12th, I had a great day!

From 12pm until 12:30, we played Kahoot! The one we played was on school appropriate news topics of the week. It was hard, but luckily, I knew some of the answers, and it was enough for me to get 1ST PLACE! Here's a couple screenshots. (My Kahoot name was, and always is, awesomest_27)

Afterwards, from 1-2pm, I was in my ELA class. However, because it was Friday (the last one of the 2019-20 school year), we played Jeopardy! It was very fun and summery. However, we played a different way. One, we could only go down on point value (100, 200, etc, instead of 300, 100, 200, etc.) , and you have to be the first one to say "I Know The Answer!" and whoever gets it first (it's HARD to be first because everybody's so fast and sometimes when I WAS first, they would say somebody else was first) gets to say the answer, and if they get it right, they get the points and get to answer another question of their choice. But at the end, I wagered EVERYTHING, because I KNEW the answer, and I WON with 7,400 points. Second place was around 6,000. By the way, here's a screenshot:

After all the luck that happened to me during school, at around 3:30, I started waiting for Julie to come. And a few minutes later, she came! So we headed to the 110 Grill in Hadley, and we dined outside! (as of June 12, due to COVID-19, you can only dine outside or get take out) First, we got to 110 Grill. When we got there, I saw everybody dining outside and I noticed that the booth with the menus and stuff was outside instead of inside like usual, and there was hand sanitizer at the booth. And, you can now only go to 110 Grill through reservations, you can't just go anymore like we used to... (this also applies to barbers and other businesses open at this time) So, the waitress at the booth asked for our reservation, and we had one, so we got through with that. Then she asked if we had any allergies, like they ALWAYS do at 110 Grill, and I told her that I had one, so then she cleaned our table and menus and we sat down at a table right next to the inside of 110 Grill, where we could see the TV on inside the bar (bars aren't going to be open until a vaccine is developed for COVID-19, so the employees might've been watching it) Also, unlike before, you can't watch the cooking at 110 Grill anymore thanks to the lack of indoor seating, although this will likely change sometime this month. So, the waitress then came and asked if we wanted drinks. I told her I wanted a kid size Sprite, and Julie asked for a water with lemon, like she normally does. So, we got our drinks, and then she asked if we wanted bread and butter, and OF COURSE I DID! So, I got my bread and butter and ate it, and then the waitress was ready to take our order, and I ordered the pasta primavera with sweet potato fries, and Julie ordered a potato flatbread. (new menu item) And then, after maybe 10-15 minutes, we got our food. Both Julie and I had a positive experience with the food; it was very good! I was STUFFED, and that was a good thing! They didn't ask us for dessert in the end (maybe they don't have dessert anymore due to COVID-19, who knows...) , so Julie put her loyalty account, because she was so close to her next $10 for the loyalty, but I have $30 on MY loyalty, which is ENOUGH for a full 110 Grill meal for me, pasta primavera with sweet potato fries is about $20! Darn, I could've had $40! πŸ€¬πŸ˜‚ So we left the restaurant and went home. But, there was NO traffic! NORMALLY, when we leave on a Friday AFTERNOON, it takes about 30-45 minutes to get home! But with NO traffic, it took us about 20 to get home! I was NOT expecting that. We were like, "you know we're gonna hit Friday afternoon traffic, right?" And we DIDN'T! It was a GREAT day and I can't wait for us to do it again! So, because of the lack of COVID-19 in my area due to the summer heat, Julie wants to do A LOT this summer, before everything ramps up again due to the autumn cold! This week alone, (June 15-19) Julie wants to visit 110 Grill again TWICE in different locations! And the arcades, bowling, and all that stuff might open in late June/early July, AND I'm going to Cape Cod from June 23-27, so I've got a FUN summer ahead! The first half of it anyways!
