Fall Foliage With TR27: Preseason 3
Preseason (Update) 3 - 08.21.25
We are now in the process of warming up once again from the DRASTIC chill that yesterday (8/20) sent us, but what is really important to note is the beginning of the presence of fall colors in my area.
Since it is SO CLOSE to the start of actual fall, I honestly am not sure if this is the start of the real deal foliage show or if this is just happening to trees that naturally turn early, which a 63-degree (~17.2°C) day before September doesn't really help in that matter. Keep in mind that prior to 2025, no August 20th had ever had a high of less than 70 (~21.1°C), so we shattered that cold record. Or should I say, we froze it? 🥶
Anyways, before it hits midnight and I end up uploading an 8/21 post on 8/22, here's some pics of some VERY early fall foliage in my area:
This year, I decided to start my fall season EARLY (September 1 compared to a September 16 start in 2024 and September 18 start in 2023) but it seems that the foliage is coming even earlier than this, which, through scrolling through 2024 posts by @fallfoliagewithtr27 on Threads, confirms the presence of fall foliage in my area starting in July, slightly ramping up in August before the explosion of color starts mid to late September and lasts through around early November, even mid-November. Some foliage on bushes and such outlasts this and has been colorful into January!
