PewDiePie HAS REACHED 100 MILLION SUBS. WHAT A MILESTONE. 😯😯😯

Image
The amazing world of YouTube has seen an amazing milestone. Shortly after 10 PM EDT on August 24, 2019, PewDiePie hit 100 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS. But due to a lack of internet and me using the phone too much (Mom wanted me to put it down; P.S. I'M NOT MAD AT YOU MOM, DON'T WORRY) , I missed the change by 52 minutes! But I went on the live sub count livestream and rewinded 52 minutes. And after a couple attempts, I got the change to 100 MILLION on video! The video is down below: This is the special note that YouTube tweeted to PewDiePie. Got married to @marziapie 💍 Revived our love of Minecraft ⛏ Reached 100 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS on YouTube ✔ What a month to celebrate and congratulate @PewDiePie 👊 - @YouTube on Twitter Amazing note! It's DAY 1 of our trip to Rochester/Niagara Falls (US) / Lake George!

Image
Yesterday was Aug 23, 2019. Yesterday was the first day of our trip to Rochester/Niagara Falls (US) / Lake George! In case you're wondering, this is what each day will bring: Day 1: Rochester Day 2: Niagara Falls (US) Day 3: Lake George Day 4: Farewell In red is what this day's trip was. Here's how the day went: The whole morning was spent at the house to prepare for our trip and such. Then, at 12 PM, I went to get a haircut, and it was a great haircut! Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of it, but it was a great haircut! After that, we picked up my little brother and brought him to his RESPEC. (it's like a temporary home for when their parents go on vacation and such) Then, when all of this was done, including vacuuming the car, going through the car wash, and getting fuel, at 2 PM, we finally left for Rochester! Unfortunately, because we left so late, it was practically sunset when we got to Rochester. At 8 PM, we arrived at the wrong hotel! It was the

THE HASHTAG: THE LANGUAGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA MARKS ITS 12TH BIRTHDAY...

Image
"How do you feel about using # (pound) for groups. As in  #barcamp  [msg]?" This was the first tweet ever that had a hashtag on it, tweeted by @chrismessina on August 23, 2007. That's right, today marks the 12 year anniversary of the hashtag! The symbol has been part of popular culture since 2007, but it wasn't until 2011-2012 that it started getting really popular, and by 2013, the "hashtag craze" had started. 2013 was crazy for hashtags; they were so popular in 2013 (and today) that Instagram had to set a 30 hashtag limit per post! They were THAT popular. And that limit still applies today. So, congratulations to the hashtag for 12 years of social media awesomeness!

The leaves are changing colors in AUGUST... How? #EndOfSummer

Image
Yellow leaves? In AUGUST? I mean, HOW??? Well, you know what THAT means. Back to school (they're advertising it like crazy, which I don't like! 😐😐😐), shorter days (already happening) , leaves changing colors... Soon, I'll be at the new  #CampusStyle  school turning to Chapter 7 of my notebook, and this year marks TENTH GRADE. That's right, I will be a SOPHOMORE this year! And then, I'll be thinking about trick-or-treating (which I'm not doing) , Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Happy New Decade 2020(s) ! And then it will be 2020, a new year AND DECADE! So, yeah, can't believe it's the  #EndOfSummer  already. Sad. But anyways, today marks the first day of our trip to Rochester/Niagara Falls/Lake George, so make sure to stay tuned for AMAZING end of summer content from 8/23 to 8/26! That's right, THREE DESTINATIONS in one trip!

Ditching the desserts... All Androids Q and after to simply be named Android 10, 11, etc., along with logo redesign...

Image
That's it, fellas! After 10 sweet years of delicious names, Google is ditching the desserts. Android Q will simply be named Android 10, along with every version afterwards being named the consecutive number (11, 12, etc.) Why is the change happening? Two reasons. One, Q is a hard letter. I mean, there's not many desserts (or anything!) that starts with Q. So that's one reason. The second and main reason: The dessert names can be hard in some parts of the world. Like, lollipop. That can be hard in some parts of the world, especially the UK. Like are you talking about a lollipop, a lolly (any candy) , or an ice lolly? (Known as a popsicle in the US) See, that's confusing! And marshmallows? Those aren't really popular in many countries. And it was a good time for a change. 10 years was a good amount of time for the old system. And Q was the PERFECT time for a change. However, the codenames will still be after the letter. But it won't be BASED on the letter anymore.

A piece of history GONE... The San Francisco FogCam to shut down on August 30, 2019, after 25 years of operation...

Image
One of the oldest webcams still alive is going to the graveyard. The San Francisco FogCam, which has been keeping track of the fog (and traffic!) on the San Francisco State University campus since 1994, is going to be shut down at the end of August, allegedly August 30, 2019. It marks the end of an era. Why will it be shut down? Well, apparently, the university has nowhere to put it anymore! Basically, the same thing that happened to the Coffee Pot Webcam in 2001, when they shut it down because the campus moved, and they (Cambridge University) didn't feel like keeping up with the webcam because it was outdated, basically that same thing is happening to the FogCam in 2019, except SFSU is not moving. The FogCam has been in operation since 1994, and has been broadcasting views of SFSU and San Francisco since 1994. But as of August 30, 2019, the camera will be no more. However, the website will remain after the shutdown on August 30, 2019, as a piece of history. If you want to see the

JUMPING UP AND DOWN AT BOUNCE! TRAMPOLINE SPORTS (With ANOTHER injury in between) (Day 3 of JCC travel camp) ALSO, SPECIAL THANKS TO MY 20TH FOLLOWER!

Image
This post has been dedicated to Maria, my one-on-one at camp who just also happens to be my 20th follower! Thank You! So, Tuesday and Wednesday might've been good trips, and you'd probably think to end it there. But remember from the first post, "explore new places  every day."  So, Thursday would be yet another place! But where? We were supposed to go to the CT Science Center in Hartford CT, but for some reason, we went to Bounce! instead! Even though the CT Science Center is nice, I've been there more than enough times, so I didn't care. And I had a BLAST at Bounce! But, because Bounce! doesn't open until 1pm (they thought it was 11:30am!) we had to stay at the JCC until 11am! And when we left at 11:30am, we drove to where they thought it was (and WHERE it was a few years ago) and guess what? It was a Stop & Shop! (I so happen to be at Stop & Shop as I am posting this, what the heck? #Coinsidences) But because the kids on the bus were being s

HAVING THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE AT SONNY'S PLACE! (Day 2 of JCC travel camp)

Image
Okay, Tuesday was good enough, but remember what I said: A new destination every day. So, Wednesday had to be a new trip. It turns out we either were going nowhere, or to The Quarters, an old style arcade in Hadley MA. But because The Quarters didn't open until 12pm, and the absolute KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY of the JCC, we took a trip to Sonny's Place instead, a family fun center located in Somers CT, which is only 15 minutes from the JCC. It was SO MUCH FUN! And my photo gallery is right below, check it out... Cheese! Because The Quarters (another arcade in Hadley MA that we were supposed to go to) doesn't open until 12pm, the JCC decided to COMPLETELY change plans and go to Sonny's Place (a family fun center in Somers CT that was only 15 min away, and that was conveniently open at the time we got there) That was A LOT better. #SonnysPlace Me at the mini golf area at Sonny's Place! I stunk so much I quit on the 6th hole! (My score was like +11 at the time

SKATING AT INTERSKATE 91! (WITH A LITTLE INJURY IN BETWEEN) (Day 1 of JCC travel camp)

Image
DAY 0: MONDAY Well, it's finally here. VACATION! And how do we start vacation? At JCC travel camp! So I did indeed sign up for this, and it worked out! A day late. So, Monday, I got to the JCC as I normally do. And I was expecting travel camp! But I went up to one of the counselors and asked them about travel camp, and they're like "What travel camp? There is no travel camp!" So for about 30 minutes, I went about normal things, thinking that travel camp didn't exist, sad. But at 9:45am, as we got to the game room, the whole travel camp was there! So it DID exist! But I said I was signed up, and they're like "You're not on our list!" So I went to the main camp counselor and asked her, and she said that I was signed up for normal camp and not travel camp. But, MOM TO THE RESCUE! So, I told the camp counselor that I was signed up, and originally signed up in late June. And so, she called Mom, and she did say that I indeed was signed up for travel
