All ready for the new year! Less than an hour left of 2018! #TheWelcomingOf2019 Updated 11:20 PM 12/31/2018 to change photo.

Less than 9 HOURS left of 2018!

That's right: as of the time of this writing, there are less than 9 hrs left of 2018! I am sad to see 2018 go; it was the year that brought happiness into my life. It was such a great year. William graduated, I started My High School Years, Niagara Falls, it was a very powerful year overall. And the online Times Square New Year's show starts at 5pm; here's the link: https://bit.ly/2QVNF3p Update 1/14/19: The 6 hour full video is back! Watch it here: https://youtu.be/78gYapFCsb4

My High School Years: Episode 11 (12/7/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 11. I am 3 weeks late, but here is episode 11, The Lost Episode. Summary: Last episode of 2018! I went to Denny's and watched Ralph Breaks The Internet with Julie. I also went to Olive Garden for the first time with her. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E12 ! Updated 2/18/19.

3 days left of 2018!

Image
I can't believe it! There is only 3 days left of 2018! The year in which William graduated, my 2nd summer in Niagara Falls, Mystic Aquarium (I had not been there since 2012) , lots of cool summer school trips to places like Bousquet, CT Science Center, and many other places! And obviously, the year in which I started My High School Years.  I think my mind has literally already welcomed in 2019, because I had a dream about New Year's last night. I guess my mind thinks Dec 28, 2018 is Jan 1, 2019. Once again, stay tuned for The Welcoming Of 2019, Monday night at 9pm! #TheWelcomingOf2019

Merry Christmas!

Image
Merry Christmas to everyone reading this post! I am in New York right now, and I am having a good Christmas! I got the 13th book of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Meltdown. I just finished reading it, and it's a good book. But to my surprise, there was a bookmark. A very unusual bookmark. The bookmark turned out to be $100 in cash, followed by another $5, also in cash! And finally, I got a 6-pack of socks! And those weren't my only gifts. Remember, I got gifts before Christmas. The other gifts I got were 1) For my birthday: A $25 Walmart gift card, and a $25 Northampton gift card! And I got myself some sweets for my birthday, like my very own carrot cake! And 2) For Christmas: Another $25 Walmart gift card,($50 total to spend at Walmart!) Daddy Day Care, $105 in cash, and the 13th book of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid! (The Meltdown)

It's also only been 3 months since he started college at RIT. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E10 ! Updated 2/18/19.

#afreshmaninmiddleschool

THIS IS NOT RIGHT! What's not right? The fact that one of my homeroom students, whom IS IN 9TH GRADE, could not participate in a high school activity. Let me explain. So the school is having a half day. The middle school is making Christmas ornaments, yet the high school is doing all sorts of fun stuff, like (video) Games and Art. This student doesn't want to do Christmas ornaments, and asks "What is the high school doing?" But then the staff reply with "You're not in high school." Let me repeat. HE'S IN GRADE 9. That IS (Well is supposed to be) HIGH SCHOOL. I know you're probably thinking that THIS IS MESSED UP. IT IS. But I must continue. He then says "Pwhat?! I'M IN HIGH SCHOOL!" And then there's a long gap of other stuff they said. Until they say "It's not your grade or age that matters. It's the floor of the building you're on. THAT IS SO MESSED UP. IT'S SUPPOSED  TO BE YOUR GRADE AND AGE THAT MATTE

My High School Years: The First Snow (11/16/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 8. Summary: I went to the endocrinologist. I also went to Cumberland Farms, saw the first snowfall, (very small) went to the YMCA, and also saw the first REAL snowfall at the YMCA. (4-8 inches fell; it also delayed school by 2 hours) I also went to Target. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E9 ! Updated 2/18/19.

My High School Years: Welcome To Boston! (11/9/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 7. Summary: How about before the summary, again this is POST #101! I went to the Special Olympics soccer finals in Byfield, (Newbury, MA) and won a gold medal! I also went to the mall with Mom and went to Boston! Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E8 ! Updated 2/18/19.

My High School Years: My Haunted School Years (11/2/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 6. Summary: How about before the summary, THIS IS THE 100TH POST; I AM SO HAPPY! I went to Spirit Halloween. I also went trick or treating and had a long night with lots of errands we had to run, ending with Melanie needing to get picked up at school at get this: 9:30 AT NIGHT!!! They went to the Boston area, though, so it was necessary. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E7 ! Updated 2/18/19.

My High School Years: Episode 5 (10/26/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 5. Summary: I got a haircut! I also went with Dad to Harley-Davidson, went to the dentist, and the Mega Millions reached a near-record $1.5 BILLION. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E6 ! Updated 2/18/19.

$1.5 BILLION MEGA MILLIONS AND $687 MILLION (WAS $750 MILLION) POWERBALL (BIG LOTTERY WINNERS; a week late)

I am a week late to say this, but the last couple weeks were amazing for the lottery. There were TWO high-rolling jackpots; there was the near record-breaking $1.5 BILLION Mega Millions, and the $687 MILLION (which was supposed to be $750 MILLION) Powerball! First, the Mega Millions. It hit $1.5 BILLION! This was a near record-breaking jackpot; it was the second biggest jackpot in US HISTORY. It started when it hit $858 MILLION. It kept climbing. Later, it reached $900 MILLION. Before you know it, it reached A BILLION DOLLARS. But, nobody won AGAIN! So it made it to $1.6 BILLION! It was the largest jackpot in US history! Almost. The next day, it was discovered that the $1.6 BILLION jackpot was only worth $1.537 BILLION, and was $49 MILLION short of the $1.586 BILLION Powerball that was set in 2016. So, the old record stood. But it was the largest Mega Millions by $900 MILLION! The former Mega Millions record was set back in 2012, and was only $656 MILLION! ONE PERSON won it in South

HAPPY BELATED HALLOWEEN!!! 🎃🎃🎃

Image
Happy Belated Halloween! Yesterday was Oct 31, 2018, and it is Halloween! I went trick-or-treating tonight, and it was fun! We planned to do it in the neighborhood and on Holly Cir. (That is another neighborhood close to ours) We did it in the neighborhood, but when we were almost done, IT STARTED RAINING! UGH! So we had to end after doing the whole neighborhood. But for next year, it will be Halloween 2019, which will be THE LAST HALLOWEEN OF THE DECADE! So I want to make next year's Halloween a big one! I will go to both the local neighborhood and Holly Cir! And if rain is in the forecast, we will go earlier! Look at my costume! You can see I also got a face painting! Here is how my Halloween went: At school, they had alternate activities. First was extended homeroom. (instead of ending at 8:40, it ended at 9:00) I then went to gathering. After gathering was the first period. It was BINGO! I got a prize: a mini pool table toy! They did a lot of stuff for the next 3 hours.

MEGA MILLIONS SURPASSES $1 BILLION, BUY A TICKET...

Image
The picture isn't that clear, but something tells me that's A LOT OF MONEY... Look at the second number. It says 999 MILLION. That's right; the counter is maxed out! This is a once in a lifetime event; this is only the SECOND time in lottery HISTORY for the jackpot to go over $1 billion; the first time was January 2016 when the Powerball reached almost $1.6 billion, and three people won it from three different states. Look in the picture. The Powerball is a "miniscule" $470 million. A Mega Millions ticket is only $2; try your luck!

Sears (and Kmart) files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, the end of the line is near...

Image
So, the news outlets were right. Sears has officially filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. But, the stores, both brick and mortar and online, will continue to operate. But the 125-year-old company is losing it. To me right now, there is a "race" going on with retailers right now. Amazon is in 1st, Walmart in 2nd, Target in 3rd, but Sears and Kmart are in last place! Sears has not been doing well lately. The company's stock fell below $1 on Sep 28, 2018, and fell below $0.50 on Oct 10, 2018. In fact, the stock right now is at 33 CENTS A SHARE! The company has also announced the closing of 142 MORE STORES, along with the bankruptcy.

My High School Years: The Return (10/12/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 4. The show is back! The school took me to McCray's Farm. I also went to see my mom at the Holyoke Mall, had my little brother's birthday at Look Park, and went to the fall foliage photo shoot. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E5 ! Updated 2/18/19.

ONE THOUSAND VIEWS!!!

I have reached an incredible milestone on this blog: 1000 total pageviews! Isn't that crazy! Most of them came from my post Just For You, William!, which was posted July 10. That was a very emotional video about William graduating high school, and going to college, which he did, and went on the full day tour, along with I, on August 12! He is now visiting for Columbus Day weekend!

My High School Years IS DEFINITELY NOT DEAD!

You're probably wondering: I have not posted an episode in 2 weeks. But why? Did I quit? No! It's just I haven't really done anything noteworthy to make an episode. That is why! There WILL be an episode next Friday, Oct 12. So STAY TUNED!

October 5, 2018

I haven't posted in 2 weeks! But I'm here to tell you something: The blog is NOT dead! Today is Oct 5, 2018. The school went on a trip to an orchard about 45 minutes away. But I didn't go there. I instead went to a farm about 10 minutes from the school. It was fun, but it was chilly; it was only in the 50s outside. It looked like the hayride they have was closed, but it was indeed open. I chose not to go on it because it was cold outside. After, we went on a joyride, and ended up about 15 miles from the school. But we passed by the Eric Carle Museum, and saw something strange: A speed limit sign! That doesn't sound weird. But the actual limit was very weird. It wasn't 15 or 20, but 17! Seventeen miles per hour! What a weird speed limit! I also saw my mom at the community center, which was nice. We played Uno, and I showed Mom an idle/incremental game I like to play, called Infiroad. It was a mostly good day! Pictures of the farm and the weird speed limit sign c

ONE FOLLOWER TO TEN!!! (HUGE SHOUTOUT TO MY 9TH FOLLOWER!)

Note: THIS IS THE 90TH POST! This blog has hit a high note. Just 3 days ago, I gained an 8th follower, the first in a while. And now, that number is 9! So I am just one follower to ten! This blog is amazing! On Apr 6, 2018, I started this blog, in favor of my show, which was to air the 27th, and which did air the 27th. On July 9, 2018, My High School Years went online for the first time after a month of trouble. Here was the trouble: It came to be June 1, 2018. I wanted to put my show online, but I couldn't do it on YouTube; they wouldn't let me. But I couldn't publish it here, because the episodes were too big in file size. But then came relief: I found an app that I could compress the show with, and it was successful! But the app went downhill fast. First of all, the app had annoying ads. But they weren't just annoying, they were ANNOYING. The ads weren't just on the app itself; they were ALL OVER MY PHONE: the app itself, Chrome, they were just EVERYWHERE! And

NOW WELCOMING TO THE WORLD: iPhone XS, XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4

Well, you heard about this 9 days ago. But now, the iPhone XS, XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 are all out, and ready for purchase! If you're wondering, iPhone XR will be out in late October. They just came out today, they're hot off the press! But they are expensive, the XS is $999, the XS Max is $1099, and the future XR will be $749. The cheapest iPhone by Apple that is still sold is the iPhone 7, and it costs $449.

My High School Years: Episode 3 (9/21/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 3. Summary: I went to IKEA, which was fun! I forgot to add a correction; the travel time was 1 1/2 hours, not 2. I also went to The Big E, which was fun! I also went to the YMCA, Kisara, the mall, and recorded the pouring rain that happened Tuesday morning. It was leftover from Hurricane Florence. HUGE SALUTE TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY HURRICANE FLORENCE. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E4 ! Updated 2/18/19.

IT IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO BUY AN iPhone 6S, X, or SE!

Today is September 20, 2018. You probably heard that iPhone 6S, iPhone X, and iPhone SE were all discontinued on September 12, 2018. But don't worry. You can still buy an iPhone 6S, X, or SE from your local carrier. Apple is just not selling it on their website. But tomorrow marks the release of the iPhone XS, XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4, so after today, these phones might not be available from your local carrier. In fact, I have already seen ads for the iPhone XS from carriers like Sprint. And you're probably questioning: What about iPhone XR? That is not due to release until October 26th. iPhone 6S link:  https://m.att.com/shopmobile/cellphones/iphone/iphone-6s/_jcr_content.html?referrer=https%253A%2F%2Fwww.att.com%2F&fromDesktop=true&sku=sku8040356 If you want one, hurry up! As I told you, this SEPTEMBER 20TH OF 2018 may be THE LAST DAY you can buy an iPhone 6S! iPhone X link:  https://m.att.com/shopmobile/cellphones/iphone/apple-iphone-x.html If you want

My High School Years: Episode II (9/14/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 2. Summary: I went to a tag sale and found a 2000s relic: A 1GB MEMORY CARD! I also went with Dad to Holyoke Mall to eat, and I also went to Holyoke Mall to get Melanie's new phone! Believe it or not, this was the last week that they sold the iPhone X; see my post about that  here . I also went to River Valley Market, and that was fun. I went to the YMCA to pick up Melanie. I went to the dentist, which was a quick 10 minutes and EASY. I also went to Kisara. Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E3 ! Updated 2/18/19.

September 14, 2018- AN AMAZING DAY!

Today was an absolute rockstar day for me. I went to school, and had an amazing time! I played kickball for most of the game. Why not all? Because my one-on-one said I couldn't play the rest because I have medical conditions. And our team won that game of kickball by a lot! I didn't get the exact score, but one of my teammates said our team won by "at least 9 points!" So I won BIG TIME. I got home, then we went to the dentist. I was in and out in 10 minutes! And it was EASY! Then I came home to see Julie. And guess what? My AWESOME summer report card came in! Here were the results: English: A Math: A Science: A Social Studies: B+ Exploratory (Art, Health, Transition, Social Skills): Pass Electives (Engineering, Art): Pass WHAT AN AWESOME REPORT CARD!!!

NEW APPLE RELEASES!

Image
Today is September 12, 2018. It's that day for Apple lovers! It is the day of the announcement of new Apple products! Here are the products that sadly, Apple let go of: Apple Watch Series 1 (2016) Not to be confused with the VERY first Apple Watch (2015). This product lived a good 2 years. iPhone X (2017) See my post about it  here . This was very popular, but sadly, Apple pulled the plug on this device. It lasted just TEN MONTHS, not even A YEAR! Also discontinued: iPhone SE (2016) iPhone 6S (2015) And here are the new devices: iPhone XS (To be released Sep 21) iPhone XR (To be released Oct 26) Apple Watch Series 4 (To be released Sep 21)

Goodbye, iPhone X...

The day has come. The nearly full-screen glass iPhone X has been discontinued today, alongside release of the iPhone XS and XR. So, I show you a clip from November 2017, of me "playing" with the now-gone iPhone X, right after it was released. Nov 3, 2017- Sep 12, 2018: The life of the iPhone X. Surprisingly, iPhone 7 and 8 are still sold! I also sound A LOT younger!

My High School Years: Welcome to High School (9/7/18)

This is SEASON 1 EPISODE 1. Season 1 (The Freshman Year) is here! I had my first day of high school! I also went to the YMCA, ate at Kisara, went to PINZ with Julie, ate at Arizona Pizza, and went to Holyoke Mall so Melanie could get a new phone. I also documented the closing of Sears there as liquidation sales have started, although not very far. (10-40% off the whole store) THIS IS ALSO THE 80TH POST ON THIS BLOG/VLOG! Seen this episode? Check out  S1 E2 ! Updated 2/18/19.

1 DAY TO 9TH GRADE!

Image
Today marks just 1 DAY until 9th grade! Season 1 (The Freshman Year) is coming tomorrow, and its gonna be packed!

THE SECOND DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL...

Today was my second day of high school, and it went better, and involved no naps! The only problem, was I tried signing up for the Green Team, but because it involves outside work, and because I have diabetes, my one-on-one said I couldn't, so I chose Podcasts and Art. After school, I was reading articles on the local newspaper website that involved retail closings, and guess what? Julie was right in front of me! So we went to the mall! But, we forgot my little brother, so we had to go back and get him. But Mom and my little brother did their own thing, while Julie and I went bowling at the bowling/arcade place! It is really high tech; the chairs you normally sit at, waiting your turn to go, while in there, they have COUCHES. Yes, COUCHES! And the machine, can count your speed, down to a precision of 0.01 mph! The place recently opened last year! We later ate at the pizza restaurant, and I got GF sausage pizza! I tried to have a soda, but realized that the pizza had almost 150 GRAM

THE FIRST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL...

Yesterday was my very first day of high school! It did not go as planned, for I took a nap. I don't want to take naps anymore! All the footage is coming on the Season 1 (The Freshman Year) premiere of My High School Years, coming Sep 7! But afterwards, I went to see my mom, then I went to Special Olympics to get me signed up! I got the calendar as well. But first I went to Sears to get some shoes, I am wearing them right now! Now, Sears is failing. First of all, the local Sears at the mall, is going to close! And the Sears at the mall that's about 10-15 miles from the one we went to had closed this Labor Day Weekend. It's hard to believe this, but that mall is now operating with NO ANCHORS! That STINKS for the mall. Now after the mall and Special Olympics, I went to Kisara, and got miso soup and a cup of rice! It was a great day!

2 DAYS TO 9TH GRADE!

Tuesday, Sep 4, marked 3 DAYS TO 9TH GRADE! (It was actually, the first day of school; the countdown was intended for the first day of school, but I got messed up, and made the countdown until Season 1 (The Freshman Year) of My High School Years. So really, Tuesday was 3 days to THE SEASON 1 PREMIERE, NOT THE FIRST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL...

The TOY industry is definitely NOT dead!

Image
First of all: This is the 60th post on this blog/vlog!!! You know the big storm of talk of Toys R Us closing that occurred from Sep 2017 to Jun 2018? It was a big giant to fall. But there are 2 toy stores coming this year; 1 as a revival; the other a new store. The first: KB Toys This store had a long history up until its closure on February 9, 2009. But a new company that revitalises defunct brands named Strategic Marks bought the company from Toys R Us and is planning to open pop-up stores in November 2018. The company will then decide which stores will become permanent. But yet the website is not active yet! The other: Toy City(by Party City) This store is going to be a new toy store! So, really 2018 hasn't been a brutal year for the toy industry, it has been a revival year for the toy industry! The website on Aug 28, 2018. The website says that it is coming September 2018! So keep an eye on 2 new toy stores coming later this year!

ONE WEEK UNTIL HIGH SCHOOL!!!

Today is Aug 28, 2018. Today marks just 1 week until high school for me! We have gotten to the point that kids are already starting school; William started college yesterday! Some kids started yesterday, some started today, others could start tomorrow. In fact, my little brother starts tomorrow! He is going to 3rd grade, whereas I am going to 9th grade. William and I are very similar on birthyears. For example, when I graduate high school in 2022, William will graduate college! I am 14; he is 18. He will be 19 soon. But I don't start school until next Tuesday, so I am lucky. I am going to see my mom today, and hopefully, it will be a good visit.

August 27, 2018

Image
Today is Aug 27, 2018. Today, I saw George from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We played Uno and Monopoly. Now, George is the CHAMPION in Monopoly; he won both games we played; the one back in February, and the one now. Now, in February, I lost playing against him and nobody else with a $900 rent charge. This game I played with 3 people: George, my little brother, and I. But this time, George won AGAIN. He even beat my little brother. My little brother was the first to lose; I was the second. Now, back in February, he bankrupted me with a $900 rent charge. This time however, he bankrupted me with a $1050 rent charge! So he just got better. An unusual scenario in Monopoly that happened today, all 3 of us were on the jail spot; 2 in jail, the other "just visiting."

ONE MONTH AFTER: NECCO

Image
Today is Aug 27, 2018. It has been ONE MONTH without NECCO! Anybody know NECCO wafers? You probably do. They started in 1847, after a guy decided to make lozenges without medicine inside. These eventually became NECCO wafers. They became known as NECCO wafers by 1912. So, NECCO, or the New England Confectionery Company, was created in 1901 from the merger of 3 candy companies. The company became known for its NECCO wafers, and did you know this: You know those little heart shaped candies you eat around Valentine's Day? Those were made by NECCO. But don't worry. NECCO may be gone, but Brach's makes practically the same thing! So don't worry, Valentine's, Brach's is here to help you crave that Valentine's sweet tooth. Now how did NECCO fail? Of course, many businesses have fallen in 2018. Thanks to Amazon. But this is a candy company, not a retailer. Here are a list of business that fell, got close to falling, and possibly fail in the near future:

2 WEEKS before HIGH SCHOOL!!!

Today is Aug 21, 2018. Today marks 2 WEEKS until high school for me! My school sent the calendar today, and yes, the first day of school is September 4. What happened so far this week: On Monday, I went to school. I did sumo wrestling, and it was a good day. After school, we went to a foster parents review at the park. Today, I also had PE, and the first 2 rounds, we played soccer outside. I am pretty sure we won both games. I also played pool with my one-on-one. But both games, she hit the 8-ball in, so I automatically won. The first game only lasted like 15 SECONDS because of this. After school, I went to see my mom, and we also went to Walmart to get MY NEW PHONE! My school is really cool during the summer; here is the schedule: Monday and Wednesday: 8:15-8:40: Homeroom 8:40-8:50: Gathering 8:50-9:35: Block 1 9:35-9:55: PE 9:55-10:40: Block 2 10:40-11:00: PE 11:00-11:45: Block 3 11:45-12:05: PE 12:10-12:40: Lunch 12:40-2:00: Activities 2:00- Homeroom and Dismissal Tue

Today is Aug 15, 2018. Today is the fifth and final day of our trip to Rochester/Niagara Falls(US). What happened today: At 9 AM, we woke up. At 11 AM, we attempted to get breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe. But it turns out that they don't serve breakfast and were not open at the time. At 1 PM, we arrived at RIT. William and us went to Target to buy some food for the rest of the trip. At 2 PM, we had already dropped William off at college. This was it; we were finally leaving him alone at college. We were on the road until 7 PM, when we arrived at home sweet home. At 8 PM, Mom told me I had to go upstairs, so I read a book, and then went to sleep at 9 PM. It was a beautiful vacation. Stay tuned for the episode about it: "College and the Falls" coming Friday! This is a picture of the Seneca Casino, leaving Niagara Falls. It looks like a great place to go; it is. And, some of my stuff that I brought to Niagara Falls didn't make it. My other 2 portable chargers besid

Today is Aug 14, 2018. Today is the fourth day of our trip to Rochester/Niagara Falls(US). What happened today: At 8 AM, I woke up hyper. At 9 AM, we all woke up, and at 11 AM, we went to Niagara Falls State Park where we went on the Maid of the Mist! How fun that was! It felt like the falls were falling on me! At 3 PM, we went back to the hotel room, and slept for 2 hours. At 5 PM, our day restarted as we went to the hotel pool. At 6:30 PM, we went to the Seneca Casino, and ate there! Now it CHANGED completely. Instead of only having 1 GF dessert option(flourless chocolate cake), they had SIX! My meal was 2 small sausages, 1 piece of steak, and 2 desserts! I later added a 4th course: GF pasta with shrimp. We didn't get out until 9 PM! At 9 PM, we went to the hotel arcade! That was fun. There was a bit of a slip up, but it didn't go crazy. At 9:30 PM, we attempted to go into the Niagara Falls State Park at NIGHT! However, it was open. Then at 9:50 PM, 1 test firework went off,
