The VIRTUAL #YouthTruth2020 event... (July 9-10, 2020)

So, as you MIGHT remember from 2018, Youth Truth is a foster care show that takes place about foster kids telling their often sad and depressing foster care stories thayt come from our local program for foster care youths called #HEROES, where teens and young adults can join the program, learn skills, and travel to different places, both for fun and for learning. I have wanted to join the program for AWHILE, but I WILL in 2021 when it is possible to do so. So anyways, back in 2017-2019, they did the show in an auditorium, last time I went in 2017, it was done in a high school auditorium. It was SAD, but a good show to watch! So now, of course, with #covid19 and the #coronavirus, shows like that that are performed in a public audience in an auditorium are now no longer possible, so for the 2020 show, it was done through #FacebookLive. Over 50 people were in at one point in the show, and it was pretty cool. By the way, here is the filming and airing of Youth Truth 2020: Resilience:

Before we get to the 2020 show, you might recognize this if you are a longtime fan of my former show, My High School Years, which I named this blog after.

Here is the practice for the 2018 show:
(Filmed April 24, 2018, seen in Season 0, Episode 1 of My High School Years)

You probably recognize this from the first episode of My High School Years (April 27. 2018)

Now, to the 2020 show:

The filming/preparing for Youth Truth 2020: Resilience.

Even with COVID-19, the show still goes on! Here was the beginning of Youth Truth 2020: Resilience, filmed from Facebook Live on a mobile device. It stated that production for the show began in January, pre COVID, and then everything had to be taken online in March because of COVID-19, but production continued virtually and in July, the show happened!

P.S. Pizza night 2 nights in a row! First, on July 9, frozen pepperoni pizza for dinner, and then Domino's GF sausage pizza with a Sprite on July 10!
It was very good!
