THE OPPORTUNITY MISSION IS DONE AFTER 15 YEARS...

If you haven't heard already, NASA's Opportunity mission, which started in 2004, is officially done. NASA made many attempts to contact the rover after it lost contact on June 10, 2018 due to dust storms on Mars. Unfortunately, no contact was made and the mission was deemed complete today, this February 13, 2019. It lasted 15 YEARS when it was only supposed to last 92 DAYS. Had the mission actually ended in 2004 like it was supposed to, I might've never heard of Opportunity.

Opportunity also hovered an amazing 45 KILOMETERS! (28 MILES)
