RIP GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC (2011-2020)

Well, even the best things must come to an end. As of November 12, 2020, Google has officially killed its former music player, Google Play Music and its counterpart music store tab on Google Play; the website died in October 2020, and for me, the app lost functionality around November 12, 2020; too bad. Now, it's time to switch to YouTube Music, customers of Google Play Music, and you'd better do it soon, because by December, all of your former music on Google Play Music will be permanently deleted! It's a sad end to a former music player. Now, the Google Play Music app will only play your downloaded music, the former tabs are gone and even if you have internet, it will say "Trouble Connecting", which is a sign that Google has probably shut off the servers for the app and store, which officially means that the app (and website) are dead.

The website on October 22, 2020, after shutting down.

However, on October 22, 2020, the app still retained functionality, but not for much longer. And as you can see, the app was still being updated up to this point, with an autumn weather playlist and "SAVAGE MODE II", which was the newest music as of October 2020.

Officially dead. This was taken November 12, 2020, and as you can see, the app is dead, even though I am connected to the internet. Goodbye, Play Music, we'll miss you... 😭😭😭
