Batterygate: Apple pays $113M over case of slowing down old iPhones
Here's a lesson, Apple: Don't slow down old phones!
Apple is now paying $113M after the Batterygate controversy that happened in 2016, even after paying $500M also after the controversy in March 2020. Why did Apple do this? Many people thought it was Apple's trick to convince people to buy new iPhones, but this was actually done to improve battery life on older iPhones, but it was a massive failure, as Apple has now paid $600M+ over the controversy. So, don't slow down old phones, Apple! (and any other smartphone maker)
